Weed control methods
There are the plants that we want to cultivate and those that we have not invited. But we must be careful to distinguish good from weeds. Be aware that there are different ways to weed without chemicals, knowing that you can never eradicate these weeds. - Few plants will withstand a 100 degree shower. The weeding with boiling water is very efficient and very economical since it requires no expense. For optimal efficiency you can combine it with other weeding methods. - The hand weeding is reserved for the bravest. By pulling on the plants, you will dig up the roots and limit the growth. Perform this technique when the grass is tall and the soil moist, after a downpour for example. If you choose this option, invite your friends. They will be happy to help you and you will be more efficient and faster. - The thermal weeding is practiced using a burner. You will burn any unwanted plants that will not survive the thermal shock. They will disappear but will grow back quickly. - The mechanical weeding is useful for large areas or for weeding abandoned land. Its use requires physical strength. It is done using a machine called a tiller. - The chemical weeding requires great precautions because it uses toxic products. First thing to know: do not treat when it is raining or when there is wind. It is not suitable for a vegetable garden because it could kill your fruits and vegetables. It is suitable, however, for terraces and driveways.
When to weed?
The rule of thumb is to always intervene before weeds bloom. Prefer then the period of April, beginning of May. Do not let them spread and rise to seeds because they will sow very easily and especially very quickly. To make your job easier, avoid periods of good weather and drought.
