The majority of indoor bonsai trees come from warm and sunny countries. Also, you should place your plant as close as possible to the window to ensure optimal exposure to light. You can also use artificial lights, making sure to turn them on between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. per day.
Bonsai trees need to be repotted every two to three years. The repotting month varies according to the species but it is generally between March and May. Repotting is also an opportunity to recompose the substrate and cut the roots to allow your plant to keep a small size.
Watering is a delicate stage in the development of bonsai. It should be done in fine rain, for example using a palm watering can. However, you must be very careful not to constantly moisten the bonsai substrate so as not to make it rot.
The size of the bonsai is as demanding as the rest of the maintenance methods. Structure sizes must be made during the winter. These, like root cutting, can be performed during repotting. It is also necessary to carry out a maintenance pruning which will allow in particular to limit the number of branches and to better penetrate the sun. Find the bonsai trees in the shop!
