Renovate a painted bathroom furniture with worn paint

Question from Liliane

The plan of my bathroom was painted by my predecessors, the paint is worn, what can I do to make up for this plan which supports two basins of pink purple color?

Design answer: sand and oil to renovate

Hello Liliane, you want to renovate the plan of your bathroom whose paint is peeling. I advise you to first sand all the chipped paint with a sander in order to recover and clean the wood of your plan. I suggest you keep the raw wood which will perfectly match the color of your pink / purple basins. After having sanded the plan, you will protect the wood with a colorless oil, with a pearling effect, which will restore its shine and nourish it in depth while avoiding stains. The application of this oil, containing mainly compounds of vegetable origin, must be done with a brush. After a drying time of 20/30 minutes, you can repeat the operation. The recovery of raw wood will give a much warmer atmosphere to your bathroom! You too, send us your decoration question
